What I wish was different
First and foremost, the work environment was undoubtedly fast-paced, which is a characteristic of investment banking. While I appreciated the exposure to this intensity, it reinforced the need for effective work-life balance However, I must commend the Deutsche Bank team for their efforts in mitigating this challenge. They made considerable strides to help maintain a sense of equilibrium. While the demands of the job were undeniably intense, the team went above and beyond to provide support and encouragement.
Furthermore, although the onboarding process was thorough, a more streamlined and hands-on approach to training, especially in the initial weeks, would have been beneficial. This would allow interns to quickly grasp the nuances of the bank's operations and become more productive contributors to their teams.
