Summer Camp Staff Positions

Earn a minimum of $2000 during your time at camp

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about working with children to fill the position of Activities staff. This is an opportunity to live, work, and travel in the USA or Canada next summer while making a positive impact on the lives of young campers.

All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) prior to beginning employment.

Summer Camp Staff  

As activity staff you are the role model and caregiver for each camper. staff are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.  

Essential Job Functions:

Assure campers are properly supervised at all times. 

Responsible for leading and assisting with the teaching of activities. 

Assist in other program areas such as waterfront, nature, all camp activities, and arts and crafts as directed.

Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.

Provide the daily care of each camper within your supervision including recognition of personal health needs.

Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behaviour. 

Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures.

Set a good example for campers and others in regard to general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Have fun in various roles and activities when required.

Implement innovative and fun lesson plans and teaching techniques.

Conduct a regular check of equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.

Help plan and prepare for inter-camp sporting events activities when applicable.

Assist with all-camp events, evening programs, trips.

Desired Experience.

Preferred but not essential. 

Training, certification or documented experience in a respective activity you are passionate about alongside a knowledge and competence in assisting and or leading in other activities.

Some Current experience working and engaging with children within different roles and activities.   

Some Knowledge of safety practices and risk assessments applicable to an activity setting.
