Trainee Patent Attorney - Software and Artificial Intelligence

We currently have a vacancy for a trainee patent attorney with experience in the field of electronics, computer science or physics. You will have, or be expecting, a good honours degree or PhD in a computer science, engineering or physics, that included a significant machine learning component (whether taught or as part of your project or thesis). Some areas of particular interest are:

  • audio & video processing
  • blockchain,
  • cryptography,
  • cryptocurrencies,
  • multi-thread and multi-core processors,
  • processor architecture,
  • semiconductor fabrication,
  • quantum computing and
  • user interfaces

As a patent attorney you assists clients, in obtaining a patent. This includes drafting the description of the invention and the claims, as well as communicating with the patent office to make the case for why a patent should be granted.
