Placement Student - Environmental & Sustainability
alary: £19,760 per year

We are looking for suitable candidates to join our 2023 placement scheme within our Consulting business unit. This is an exciting opportunity to gain work experience with leading infrastructure services and engineering company. Our 12-month placements are designed for second and third-year undergraduate students looking for practical work experience to support their university studies. You may only be with us for one year, but we’ll give you valuable work experience and development opportunities, with high performers given the opportunity to join our Graduate Programme.
From day one you’ll be given real responsibility, gaining invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts and across your team.
The role
As a Placement Student, you will be working alongside the team to deliver the following:
- Advise on environmental aspects of projects including but not limited to EIAs, ecological studies, energy use, environmental hazards
- Prepare reports to respond to the EA and Local Authorities regarding the PPG’s, scoping reports, planning submissions and permitting for projects
- Ensure compliance with Health and safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations
- Monitor relevant technical aspects of quality plans
- Report variances and provide suggestions for corrective actions
- Provide input into project quality plans

- Working towards disciplines in Sustainability, Environmental and Business Studies (other Sustainability related disciplines will be considered)
