About Us
Palava is a UK clothing brand dedicated to small-scale, sustainable production focused on longevity, craftsmanship, and creativity. The brand USP is unique prints designed by Bryony along with guest illustrators. Palava’s ethos is built on, make less but make it better, natural, traceable materials, support for UK manufacturing, waste reduction and sustainable innovation. The company is developing the Palava Lab and Micro factory as an emerging micro-factory focused on made-to-order clothing, textile recycling, and make workshops.
Internship Overview
We are offering an 11-week Digital Internship to help us strengthen our digital capabilities and support our journey toward smarter manufacturing practices. You will contribute to a focused project that drives value for our digital transformation. We are looking to create a system that changes how we look at Fashion, an industry that is fast pace and needs change. This is a unique opportunity to be part a catalyst for change. Exploring how we do things now and creating a digital road map for the future. Setting Palava as a trail blazer for other small companies to follow.
Duration: 12th January 2026 – 27th March 2026
Location: Northallerton (with ability to work some hours remotely once agreed)
Commitment: Part-time 3 days a week - 24 hours per week
Rate of Pay – National Living Wage

Project Responsibilities
As an intern, you will support creating a digital road map for the future. Researching systems to help deliver a user friendly sustainable path forward. Working with other members of the team and other businesses to help test new technologies and make improvements creating digital patternmaking, 3D garment modelling, workflow mapping, and integration of our digital print–cut–sew pipeline.
- Assist in developing digital patterns using coding, software such as CLO, Style3D or similar.
- Help map digital workflow from Shopify order to print, cut, and sew.
- Support integration of the digital printer with future laser cutter workflow.
- Collaborate with sewing apprentices to establish efficient methods.
- Create documentation for repeatable digital production processes.
- Support small test runs and prototype development.
