SBP 7986 Marketing Executive Intern

 

Job Summary

 

Ark Recruitment in Exeter are expanding, and they are looking for a creative, proactive, and detail-driven Marketing Executive Intern to help elevate their brand, drive inbound leads, and support their digital presence. This is a perfect role for someone who wants flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a visible impact in a fast-growing business.

 

This role is part of the Student Business Partnership scheme and offers 1 day of work per week (flexible around your studies) working from their Exeter office in the city-centre. Hybrid working can be considered once you have settled into the role. There is an opportunity for this position to continue on a full-time/permanent basis once you have completed your studies.

Purpose of the Role

 

You’ll be responsible for managing and executing Ark’s marketing activity one day per week. From social content and email campaigns to brand development and event marketing, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we show up across all channels.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage Ark’s LinkedIn content calendar – scheduling posts, drafting captions, and boosting engagement.
  • Support with campaigns to attract clients and candidates in Events, Sales, Marketing & Tech.
  • Create and distribute email newsletters and marketing updates.
  • Help design visual assets – banners, job adverts, and branded PDFs using Canva or similar tools.
  • Track analytics and report on social performance and engagement trends.
  • Update Ark’s website and marketing materials to ensure brand consistency.
  • Support with event sponsorships, partnerships, and PR opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and team on brand development projects.

Degree and Attainment

 

  • Open to all current University of Exeter students who can demonstrate they have the right skills

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Ideally you will have some experience in a marketing, social media, or communications role.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling ability.
  • Confident using Canva, LinkedIn, and scheduling tools (e.g. Paiger, OneUp, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of analytics (LinkedIn, Google, or HubSpot).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Creative eye for visuals and branding.

  • Full time Postgraduate students can work a maximum of 6 hours per week and no more than 180 hours per year, this includes those working already working as Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (PTA). You may work more hours with written permission from your academic.
