Background
STRI Group is a global design, engineering and management consultancy and all services are underpinned by almost 100 years of scientific research. Our skills were founded within the design, management and maintenance of sports surfaces, and we continue to deliver and implement strategies for sports facilities and their surrounding infrastructure, as well as working within residential, corporate and commercial spaces.
STRI Group delivers a broad portfolio of sports and leisure facilities including elite stadiums, racetracks, community sports fields, golf courses and urban solutions. We take projects from concept, design and the planning process, through to construction and operation.
We are looking for an individual with the skill and drive to be mentored in every aspect of these unique disciplines. Once training is complete you will be at the heart of some of the most exciting projects in sports, with an exciting career development path.
Role summary
This is an amazing opportunity to join STRI’s expanding technical design team based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. We are world leaders in the design and development of sports facilities domestically and internationally and the role of Graduate/Junior consultant will see the selected candidate become part of an experienced and dynamic design team.
Over a 12-month period you will be mentored by senior members of the team through our internal development programme, and you’ll work within different areas of our business. This will provide a greater understanding of how each area of the Group interacts and interlinks with other areas. You will have accountability for delivery and will receive the support to progress.
Key requirements
- Relevant civils, agronomic or agricultural qualification
- Technically familiar with core concepts of sports surface construction, i.e. profile, drainage, earthworks and irrigation
- Computer literate, CAD/Revit literacy beneficial
- Articulate with good strong communication skills
- Mature approach and the ability to understand role development opportunity and have a longer-term vision for your career
- Must hold a relevant degree level qualification or equivalent vocational experience
- Advantage to hold a full UK driving license
