Mechanical Engineering BTEC Tutor/Mentor
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive tutor and mentor to assist a 17 year old student in Knutsford currently undertaking a Mechanical Engineering BTEC. The student requires academic support with course content as well as guidance on study skills, essay techniques, and effective workload management.
About the Role
- Provide tailored support in Mechanical Engineering BTEC content.
- Develop strategies to enhance study skills and manage academic workload.
- Offer mentoring support to build confidence and foster independent learning.
Essential Criteria
- Currently studying Mechanical Engineering at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Experience tutoring or mentoring students.
- Skilled in adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
- Patient, empathetic, and organised, with a passion for supporting student progress.
- Enhanced DBS certificate or Update Service details dated within 12 months, or willingness to undergo background check.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiar with the BTEC Mechanical Engineering course content and structure.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students with ADHD, Dyslexia, or Slow Processing.
Commitment & Location
- Hybrid approach: Regular in-person sessions in Knutsford with online check-ins.
- Travel expenses and travel time will be fully covered.
