Your Role

 

EF Brighton is seeking an organized and enthusiastic team leader to oversee our student residence operations. In this role, you’ll lead a dedicated team responsible for ensuring our international students have a welcoming, safe and comfortable home from home environment. You’ll allocate students to suitable accommodations, maintain the high standards of each residence, and support your team in addressing any student inquiries or concerns.

Responsibilities

 

  • Allocating accommodation appropriately
  • Ensuring EF residences are well maintained, safe and welcoming
  • Recruiting, training & managing a team of staff including weekend and night workers
  • Financial management including setting & following budgets and optimising occupancy
  • Management of external services & liaison with suppliers such as cleaning & catering
  • Efficient administration of all aspects of residential accommodation
  • Managing student enquiries and issues
  • Communicating effectively with sales colleagues
  • Confirming bookings and changes to bookings within our Gold Standards
  • Emergency phone duties on rota

 

 

Requirements

 

  • A flexible approach to hours of work undertaken is essential
  • Experience of managing or leading a team desirable
  • Experience in residence or hotel management or similar role desirable
  • Highly motivated, energetic, positive
  • Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner
  • Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
  • Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home
  • Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
  • Attention to detail, organized & thorough
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear DBS check and two references
