What does our role entail?
During the placement, our successful candidate will be expected to become an integral member of our Digital Market Research Team and Consumer Technical Insight Department, working on business impactful market research projects delivered through one of the most innovative digital market research platforms and well-known Global Market Research Agencies.
This is both a blue-sky role that gives you a chance to roll up your sleeves and dive into big data sets and consumers insight in order to build consumers stories that can help Unilever to build the products of the future and manage important market research projects. This is an opportunity to think big about how to interpret the behaviour of consumers and improve Unilever existing or new product.
Example of the daily job responsibilities
- Overall, learn to deliver and manage end to end a quantitative and/or qualitative consumer market research projects.
- Help deliver quantitative and qualitative consumer primary market research through surveys or other digital market research methodologies (e.g., Forums, Reviews, Online Focus Group).
- Handle survey scripting process using survey software platforms.
- Deliver Descriptive and inferential (e.g., T-Test, Correlation, Regression) Statistical analysis using software such as SPSS, MiniTab, R, Python, Excel. However, you will have the opportunity (if you want) to learn and deliver more complex data analysis techniques closer to the machine learning space.
- Create and present appealing power point reports.
- Manage Market Research Projects
- Be an active member of R&D Community
What do we require from you?
We would like to hear from you if you have any of the following:
- A passion for Market Research & Data Analysis
- A passion for Unilever and its initiatives
- A desire to learn new business and technical skills throughout the placement
- Interest/ passion in quantitative and/or qualitative market research methods
- Interest/ passion in statistics or/ and statistical software such as R, SPSS, Python, Minitab, STATA
- Ability to recognise insights and communicate them effectively to a team
- Strong ambitions and independency
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Location of the placement will be Unilever Deodorant Global Centre, 96 Coal Road, Seacroft, Leeds UK LS14 2AR. It’s an office-based job opportunity with the opportunity to work 1 day per week (Friday) from home if required.
Recruiting process is composed of the following steps:
- Interview – 40 Minutes – Competency and Skills based interview approach.
- Assignment -1 week – Opportunity to experience (and test you) a typical task you will be likely to perform during the placement. This can give you an opportunity to see if the job role and consequential responsibility can meet your and our expectations.
- Final Presentation – 40 minutes - Presenting the assignment during the final stage.
