As a Trainee ARMO Welder you will learning to carry out welding and hard facing repairs on machined parts to a high degree of quality. Once qualified you will be able to work under your own initiative to meet the production schedule of a busy service company. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills whilst working on some innovative products.
As a Trainee ARMO Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Working under direct supervision, performing basic welding applications.
- Understanding how to perform visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
- Developing skill to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Helping facilitate the team in diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving welding problems.
- Undertake training in various welding processes, passing periodic welding tests and gaining qualifications in compliance with Baker Hughes procedures.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role the following would be beneficial:
- High School Diploma, Workshop or Welding Certificate.
- Knowledge/ experience of welding process and ideally the use of Oxy- fuel Torch equipment to perform Brazing and or Soldering.
- Experience working with Technical Drawings
- Have completed Welding tests and qualifications
- Experience working with various Steels and Alloys.
- Be process driven and work safely whilst adhering to procedures.
