Graduate Civil / Building Engineer - Construction (2025 intake)
Wood is recruiting Civil / Building Engineer (Construction) to join one of our business units across the South East of England. The office locations in this region are: Reading, Staines, Horsham and Woking

As a Civil / Building Engineer - Construction graduate you will have exposure to different parts of the business gaining vital skills. In addition to conventional sectors, you can expect to become involved in:
- Carbon Capture: Industrial clusters, concept development to detailed engineering.
- Hydrogen: blue hydrogen (w/CCS), green hydrogen, ammonia/hydrogen economy innovation.
- Future of hydrocarbons: adapting existing facilities and designing ambitious new projects, to produce the next generation of lower carbon fuels and chemicals
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for high-achieving graduates with a desire to learn. The ideal candidates should have a 2:1 MEng degree in Civil Engineering and enjoy problem solving / trouble-shooting, detailed analysis, willing to embrace new ideas, and most importantly; take on assignments where the approach or solution isn’t known at the outset.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2:1 MEng degree in Civil Engineering
- Enthusiasm to work and develop your career in Construction Engineering within the Oil and Gas industry
- Demonstrate initiative, tenacity and excellent communication skills
- Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
- Must have the right to work in the UK
