About Man Group’s Product & Client Operations Team

Product & Client Operations (PCO) is a centralised department within Man Group providing wide ranging “post execution”, middle and back-office services to the Man Group investment businesses.

PCO is responsible for functions including middle office p/l and accounting analysis; core operations such as confirmations, settlements, payments, corporate actions, income and reconciliations; portfolio risk and performance analysis and client reporting, regulatory reporting, new business management, service provider selection and management; solutions analysis and project implementation.

 

What Will I Do on the Product & Client Operations Graduate Programme?

This graduate programme provides a unique opportunity to gain challenging and interesting experience within a performance-driven, global investment management business by rotating through three placements within the Product and Client Operations department over a two-year period.


As one of our trainees, you will gain a thorough understanding of a range of operations disciplines, including client operations, middle office accounting, trading operations and change management, in addition to being given exposure to different teams and business areas. Having completed the programme you will be well-placed to develop a long-term career in Operations at Man Group with an expectation that you would be capable of progressing into a permanent role and potentially a leadership role in the future.

 

Both professional studies (e.g. CFA, CIMA) and on-the-job training will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You will also have direct access to Man Group's leadership team as a senior leader from Operations will be provided to each trainee to act as their mentor.

Specific Responsibilities:

The rotational nature of the role means specific responsibilities will vary from team to team. In all areas it is expected that the individual will:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business, its environment and products
  • Assist the team in the execution of their duties
  • Play an active role in the team

 

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Computer literate with MS Office competency and can learn new systems
  • Analytical, logical thinker with an eye for detail
  • Ability to understand risk

 

Recruitment Process:

  • Application Window: 2nd September – 13th October
  • Online Tests: 18th – 20th October
  • Virtual Interview: 22nd – 25th October
  • Assessment Centre: 14th November – Please note that candidates must be able to attend the Assessment Centre in our UK London Office.

 

Start Date: 8th September 2025
