What is the opportunity?

Residential property plays a vitally important role in society, in addition to its primary purpose of meeting the housing requirements of the population it is also a growing investment asset class. Working alongside industry professionals including agents, developers, investors, lenders, planners, property managers, surveyors and valuers, you will receive optimum support throughout the programme, helping you to gain the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and encourage you to develop in areas that you have a particular interest.

This 24-month programme with two rotations is for graduates wanting to follow the Residential pathway to completing their APC and will provide a fulfilling and exciting career across CBRE’s National and London Markets residential teams and Valuation Service Line. We will provide full support in passing your Assessment of Professional Competence and you will find yourself working between a range of teams such as:

  • Residential Valuation
  • Residential Land
  • Residential Capital Markets
  • Residential New Home Sales and Lettings


What will you be doing?

  • We expect our Next Generation cohort to become integral members of our team, taking on a suitable level of responsibility from an early stage. 
  • Day to day responsibilities include site visits, attending client meetings, conducting market research and completing reports.
  • Specific responsibilities will vary depending on which team you work in. CBRE is a dynamic environment where you can expect to be involved in a wide range of activities, both office-based and on-site (i.e. inspecting properties / development land as part of a marketing process).
  • At CBRE, we are fortunate enough to work on some of the most exciting and important residential projects in London and across the UK.
  • To maximise learning, we ask all of our Next Generation cohort to be in the office on each of their working days.
  • You may from time to time be required to work additional hours as are necessary.

 

What you will need in order to succeed

  • A forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for real estate & the built environment
  • Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and good time management
  • The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK
  • Cognate students will need a RICS accredited degree or a RICS accredited masters conversion course (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum) – 
  • Non-Cognate students from any degree discipline are welcome to apply (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum) 
  • Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint*

* Not an essential requirement for the role, but desired
