BWB Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme is the perfect place for you if you are an ambitious and passionate individual. Our programme offers you the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and respected engineers and consultants in the industry and help you reach your full potential through a technical syllabus & skills development programme. You will receive independent mentoring, support through to Chartership and the opportunity to gain responsibility on a range of exciting projects.
What you’ll be doing
During this role you will have the opportunity to be embedded within different teams and gain exposure to different environmental aspects of our business, for example Ground Solutions, Acoustics & Air Quality, Ecology, Water and Environmental Assessment & Coordination.
- Assisting the business in delivering environmental enhancement to offset development impact, delivering integrated environmental and sustainable solutions to the most complex of locations
- You will work alongside experienced environmental consultants to develop skills in flood risk, contaminated land, ecology, acoustics and air quality, heritage, Environmental Assessment and Coordination together with gaining an appreciation of sustainable development whilst working on a range of different projects.
- Support from experienced engineers, scientists and technicians will quickly see you understanding modelling methods, environmental data analytics and GIS systems.
- You will start work on smaller projects, with an emphasis on skills development to help you up the learning curve.
- You will quickly start working more independently on larger and more challenging projects.
- The position is for a graduate with strong aspirations to pursue a career in environmental assessment.
- Working with clients across the transport, residential, commercial, industrial, health and retail sectors ranging from local and national developers and contractors to public sector bodies.
What you’ll bring
- A relevant degree or master’s degree in an environmental related discipline or relevant degree in an analytical subject such as engineering, geography, mathematics.
- Good IT skills
- Desire to work on schemes at a strategic level
- Industry relevant software packages, although training provided
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work situations
- Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress
- A problem solver with strong communication skills
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team
