Assistant Director (Development)

i-Learner is committed to delivering high-quality face-to-face and online education programs. As part of the i-Learner team, you will deliver face-to-face classes for students at i-Learner’s Education Centres in Hong Kong and lead on development programmes to expand our international offering. Our classes promote students’ independence, creativity and love of learning. 

Responsibilities

Based in Hong Kong, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic growth and development of our learning centre. This position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for education, strong organisation and logistics skills, and a proven track record in student development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing upper secondary and university admissions academic programmes, curriculum development, and overseas study programmes, while ensuring the highest quality of education for our students.

 

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Strong organisational, budget management, and logistical skills
  • Proven ability to solve problems and think strategically
  • Experience teaching or tutoring
  • Experience helping students prepare for national examinations, such as GCSE, A Level, IB and other international examinations (e.g. IELTS) preferred
  • A passion for teaching
  • Confidence teaching a wide variety of materials, including literature (a degree in literature is not required)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • University degree
  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • 2 years professional experience in a project management based role
  • Professional experience of university admissions
  • Knowledge of Oxford University or similar prestigious universities e.g. Alumna/Alumnus
