Spanish Tutor/Teaching Assistant

About the Company

We help ambitious students who are falling behind in Spanish achieve top grades. Once students fall behind in languages it is very difficult to get back on track, leading to frustration and a negative relationship with languages that many carry into adulthood.

We believe this can be avoided by teaching Spanish in an enjoyable, interactive, and systematic way. Our approach focuses on three key areas:

This method empowers students to become successful, independent learners. With the right tools, mindset, and environment, they can keep up in class, exceed their target grades, and have an active command of the language.

We build these skills through a mix of live lessons, online resources, independent study, feedback, and a collaborative community. These are the pillars of our unique digital learning environment.

Skills Required:

  • Experience teaching GCSE-level Spanish (1:1 or in groups)
  • Aware of language learning theories and pedagogy to identify learning gaps
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about Spanish language and culture
  • Professional, punctual, with good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and improve teaching skills
  • Technologically literate, able to learn and use new online platforms quickly
  • Experience teaching in a group setting is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 1:1 student assessments
  • Create personalised learning plans based on assessment results
  • Answer student questions
  • Mark and provide feedback on student homework, track student progress
  • Lead small group homework-help sessions
  • Attend team calls

You will need a decent webcam, reliable internet connection, and a laptop/computer that supports Google Chrome, Google Meet, and Google Suite  (NOT a Chromebook/tablet)

Compensation

£10 - £15 per hour, depending on project
