Disability Coordinator

We are seeking an Admin Officer to support our Adaptations Team within Adult Social Care. This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of a team that makes a real difference to peoples lives and helps them remain in their own home longer with adaptations   

 

What will be expected from me?

 

The purpose of this role is to provide admin support to the Adaptations Team within Adult Social Care.

 

What I might be doing?

 

  • You will act as a first point of contact for the Team, dealing with service users which will include front line contact for referrals from service users, their carers and professionals. Independently with routine enquiries and requests for information from a range of colleagues, partners, and members of the public either verbally or in writing, working within the Councils Customer Care policy and displaying a can-do attitude.
  • Supervision of other admin staff and monitoring of performance of individuals and providing statical information for management.
  • You will provide an effective administration and business support service to the Adaptation Team by providing a range of administration tasks and data input, typing, diary management, photocopying, producing correspondence, inbox monitoring, ordering equipment, building adaptations etc.
  • You will arrange meetings, agenda and documents preparation, attend meetings, undertake and produce minutes, KPI meetings in a timely manner and circulate approved minutes.

 

Essential requirements:

 

  • Min 4 GCSE “C” or above grades, or equivalent including Maths and English/ICT Qualification such as EDCL, ICT GCSE or equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of business administration systems and procedures
  • Ability to learn new tasks as directed.
  • Excellent communication skills
