Research Intern (Faith-based actors in Homelessness)

Depaul International (DPI) is the parent body of a global group of charities (subsidiaries) responding to global homelessness, together serving 23,500 people each year.

We have an Internship opportunity for a student or candidate that is interested in entering the homelessness, international development and/or voluntary, community and faith sectors. The appointed candidate will be assigned the role of Research Intern (Faith-based actors in Homelessness) and they will work on a full time (37.5 hours per week), 6 weeks fixed term contract basis.

In this role, you will conduct research projects to understand the role of faith in addressing homelessness globally. You will assist DPI to conduct this research, using a robust approach to ensure a range of global homelessness service providers can contribute to the learning from this project.

About you:

You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.

  • A high level of written English and good written communication skills, including experience of writing reports and/or papers
  • A proven ability to conduct independent, desk-based research (e.g. academic work)
  • An ability to review and synthesise complex information
  • An ability to present information in a user-friendly and visually appealing way
  • Knowledge of the role of faith-based actors in the NGO sector, especially in an international context (e.g. through academic studies, volunteering or work experience)
