Trainee Architectural Technician
Rowland are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Design Team, helping to Design and Build some of the most sought after new homes in the north-west. As we grow, our ambition is to be the best new-build housing developer in the north-west, which has to be led by good design standards.
Responsible to: Technical Director & Technical Manager
Main Purpose: Assist members of the Technical Team with Architectural Drawings, House type Design and other Daily Design Tasks
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Architectural Technician in producing and revising Working Drawings for Rowlands standard house type range.
- Making alterations to existing Working Drawings based on feedback from departments and Site Management.
- Help to create new and imaginative designs for our standard house types.
- Coordinate the transfer of drawings and information between our Architects, Engineers, and development sites, NHBC and Local Authorities
- Produce Drawing Registers to sit alongside Current Working Drawings.
- Assist in producing Planning Drawings to facilitate Planning Applications on Rowlands upcoming developments.
- Monitor the current and upcoming Building Regulations, liaising with Building Control and Warranty Providers to ensure Working Drawings are compliant.
- Work closely with the Architects and Technical Manager to ensure to ensure the smooth running of the Technical Department
- Daily computer usage, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and autoCAD.
