IT Systems Training Co-Ordinator

To co-ordinate the development and implementation of learning strategies and programmes to support the implementation and operation of strategic IT systems.

 

Responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting training programmes to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of employees when using IT systems to support their day-to-day role.

 

Responsible for the development of training strategies to support the implementation and on-going operation of strategic and tactical IT systems, enabling users to maximise the benefit of their use.

 

Co-ordinate and lead the delivery of training to meet strategic and operational objectives.

 

Undertake training needs analysis to assess training needs of new and existing employees, by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow and reports, understanding job-specific functions and tasks.

 

Lead the design and development of training programmes and plans according to organisational requirements, meeting the identified needs of services, teams and individual employees.

 

Determine course content and classroom agendas according to objectives.

 

Co-ordinate the administration and delivery of training courses, including diary management, logistics management (venues & equipment) and database management to track attendance.

 

Lead and manage the work of IT Trainers in the preparation and delivery of training activities, ensuring the quality of the work done is commensurate with the requirements of the agreed training programmes and plans.

 

Design and prepare educational aids and training materials to support the achievement of learning objectives e.g. presentations, training manuals, hand-outs, e-learning, on-line training.

 

Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions and alternative training options.

 

Deliver effective, high quality training activities at the users place of work or at a central location as appropriate, including formal training to groups of users, workshops and individual coaching as appropriate.

 

Implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure accurate training records are created and maintained to monitor take-up and outstanding training requirements.

 

Develop targets and quality standards for training courses for Social Care Information Systems, which enable participants to develop the skills they need.

 

Design and apply assessment tools to monitor, evaluate and review the quality and effectiveness of training and associated outcomes.

 

Obtain feedback from trainers and participants on the relevance and effectiveness of training.

 

Determine overall effectiveness of training methods, programmes and materials and make improvements as required.

 

Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques, including researching and recommending new training methods.

 

Setting up new users with appropriate access to systems, issuing login usernames and password.

 

Ensure that users are aware of and trained to fulfil their responsibility for the integrity of the data recorded within Systems, in line with service and legal requirements.

 

To ensure that users of Systems are aware of their responsibility to protect the data within the system in accordance with statutory obligations in relation to Data Protection and GDPR.

 

To use interpersonal skills, including the ability to advise, negotiate, persuade and influence stakeholders within projects to ensure successful outcomes for systems training and to contribute to successful delivery of the project.
