Assistant Design Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Design Manager to join our team, who will work closely with our Senior Design Manager/s and Design Director based in the UAE.  The ideal candidate should have a passion for design, exceptional organization skills and positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Designation: Assistant Design Manager

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities:

• Leads day-to-day coordination and delivery of information on time and within budget with day-to-day oversight and quality control on assigned work streams, ensuring design management function is aligned with other PMC functional targets
• Participates in the creation of presentations, agendas, dashboards etc. tailored to the various audiences within the project team
• Good at undertaking reviews of multi-disciplinary design teams documentation, ensuring coordination across the team on the design proposals. Ensures to keep accurate records and follow protocols of information flows in accordance with Design Management Plan.
• Ability to understand the structure of a design programme and assists in the updating and management of the activities and milestones within.
• Understands the monitoring processes required and used by the Design Management appointment and utilizes the agreed DM tools on a daily basis.
• Understanding of BIM Management processes and requirements for design projects.
• Demonstrates a keen interest and knowledge of material and products available in the market, with the ability to technically specify and select products
• Exhibits an informed interest in design, architecture and construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Design and Project Management, or related field
• Master’s degree / Post Graduate in Design Management is a plus
• Proficiency in industry-standard design management tools and softwares
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
