SEN Teacher/Engagement specialist
Encourage Education is a rising force in education. We provide interim education to young people with SEN who are unable to attend the mainstream or are struggling with engagement.
We focus on developing rapport in order to build an understanding of the specific educational needs of each student and develop their strengths to ensure that they can achieve the best educational outcome possible.
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced engagement specialists who are available immediately to help us build our core team by providing bespoke educational services to young people across London.
Responsibilities:
- Confidently provide 1-2-1 education to students
- Ability to work with SEN students from KS1 - KS4
- Detailed knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures
- Devise lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines where appropriate
- Delivery of Maths and English up to GCSE level
- Ability and willingness to work with students with special education needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Develop and mark examinations to measure students’ progress
- Assess and report on students’ academic achievements and behaviour
- Communicate with parents/guardians about trouble areas or any issues that require attention
- Encourage student participation and performance

- Available to work in person
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Pay: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
