Graduate Consultant - Strategic / Government Comms MIDDLE EAST

Roles based in Dubai, Saudi and Bahrain available for graduates who are looking to move into either Strategic Communications, Government Communications or Management Consulting.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Solid graduate work experience in a research, data-gathering or media-monitoring role
  • Producing in-depth, research-based analysis
  • Experience working in a pressurised environment with multiple demands
  • Ability to confidently contribute to internal discussions and present and advise the client
  • Genuine interest in geo-politics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Clients

  • Support the account lead and account manager in providing strategic communications support to allocated clients
  • Monitor media for your clients, identifying articles of interest and alerting the team on potential issues
  • Produce monitoring reports of print, broadcast and social media following press releases
  • Produce research and briefing notes to a high quality
  • Produce daily news alerts, providing a summary of key news articles from around the world (working on a rota)
  • Monitor digital and social media for allocated clients
  • Collect, analyse and present data
  • Produce first drafts of client’s social media calendars.

 

Leadership

  • Produce research on potential clients
  • Support in the development of briefing materials and research relating to new business pitches.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Excellent personal organisational skills including managing and prioritising your workload and providing support to the wider team
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to work independently, but also display solid team working skills
  • Analytical skills – ability to read news stories, organise thoughts and judge significance
  • Strong interest in global and Middle East affairs
  • Ability to deal with and adapt to an ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, PPT and Excel
  • Good understanding of digital media, including social listening tools
  • Discretion in approach to work.

 

Desirable

  • Post-graduation work experience
  • PR and communications experience
