English and Soft Skills Instructor
Overview: The English and Soft Skills Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in English language and soft skills development. The instructor will plan, prepare, and teach engaging lessons that meet curriculum goals and deliver learning outcomes. The role includes assessing students' progress, providing feedback, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in English language and soft skills.
- Develop and provide a curriculum that caters to all proficiency levels and incorporates a variety of teaching strategies.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, record the outcomes, and provide timely feedback.
- Design and implement engaging classroom activities focused on language development and soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
- Integrate modern technology and pedagogical methods into teaching practices.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and research new topic areas, resources, and teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and contribute to curriculum development.
- Provide guidance to students on academic and vocational learning, and career planning.
- Participate in departmental, school, and parent meetings.
- Prepare and support students for English proficiency tests and real-world language use.
- Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and promoting excellent student/teacher interaction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to improve teaching practices.
- Adhere to the academy’s policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Teaching qualification/certification such as TEFL, TESL, CELTA, or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching English and soft skills in an educational environment.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels.
- Proficient in the use of digital tools and educational technology.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to manage classroom dynamics.
