Ship's Photographer

As Photographer you will create lasting memories by providing exceptional service to all guests that selected Princess Cruises as their vacation getaway. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieves budgeted sales, image count, and sell- through targets each voyage.
  • Always clearly explains the product to passengers.
  • Always opens and closes using effective sales techniques.
  • Provides timely and accurate feedback to management for use in the end-of-cruise report each voyage
  • Interacts with every passenger, observing and identifying passengers' preferences and adjusting service accordingly, anticipating passengers’ needs, and engaging in conversation while showing genuine interest at all times.
  • Always responds immediately to any service issues, escalating to a supervisor as appropriate.
  • Always executes all operations, standardized marketing strategies, events, visual directives, and price changes with correct supporting signage and advertising as directed by management.
  • Thoroughly understands the Princess product and Photo operations, products, and services.
  • Ensures merchandise is restocked daily and neatly presented on the selling floor.
  • Consistently produces correctly exposed, focused, and printed images, meeting company standards at all times.
  • Promptly communicates issues regarding product quality and stock levels to management.
  • Always performs all Photo inventories, receiving, transfers, deletions, price changes, stock rotations, and bar-coding prints as directed by management and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Dependably organizes and maintains secure, safe, and clean stockrooms, lockers, and storage areas.
  • Takes accountability for correctly protecting issued equipment and Company assets as directed in the policies and procedures.
  • Constantly ensures that equipment is always used and maintained properly, and that any malfunctions or breakdowns are timely resolved.
  • Timely resolves any technical issues that affect photo operations; promptly contacts the Assistant Photo Manager for additional troubleshooting support.
  • Consistently demonstrates accurate knowledge of Photo Lab opening and closing procedures.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Formal photography education and training preferred
  • Two years of event photography experience, including experience shooting portraits in large event settings
  • Prior sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using professional-grade digital cameras
  • Experience with studio lighting and digital lab equipment preferred.
  • Secure Windows and Mac-based computer skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar types of programs.
  • Photo Equipment: NikonD7200, Nikon Flash Systems, Hansel Studio Flash Systems, and related accessories, Konica R1& R2, Fuji Frontier, Noritsu.
