Digital Marketing Executive

Our client is looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to support the Marketing department in delivering impactful and engaging communications to our client’s network of 150,000+ high level climate change policy and sustainability professionals.

Our client has been working at the intersection of climate change policy and sustainability for over 15 years. Their mission is to accelerate the transition to a global green economy in order to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement and align with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Their portfolio of events include; their flagship event, the Sustainable Innovation Forum, which is the largest official side event alongside the annual UN Climate Change Conference, where global climate change policy is set and regulated, following the landmark Paris Agreement in 2015; The Sustainable Investment Forum in both Europe and North America and The Climate Innovation – a purpose built venue and platform that facilitates public and private sector collaboration.
As the Digital Marketing Executive , you will be joining the team on a full time basis, working 5 days a week in their office in Victoria, London. The salary range for this role is between £28 - £30K depending on experience and ideally for someone with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

About the Role:
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing Marketing team to help propel our portfolio of the company’s digital and in person events as well as their bespoke events working in partnership with key organisations.
Working with the Marketing Manager you will be required to execute digital marketing campaigns to engage with, build and deliver high quality audiences for bespoke client event as well as their portfolio of flagship events including The Innovation Zone, The Hydrogen Transition Summit and The Sustainable Innovation Forum during COP29.
You will work closely with conference producers and sales departments ensuring that the events are a success and the target audience is delivered.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience from working on a number of high-profile events attended by senior representatives of regional governments, UN agencies, international and regional NGOs, investors and donors, research institutes and solution providers.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • Creating, maintaining and publishing content across the platforms (including web, email newsletter and social media)
  • Generating new ideas for brand awareness, lead generation and conversion through digital marketing campaigns
  • Delivering digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Delivering paid media campaigns
  • Engaging with and growing the company’s network across multiple platforms
  • Compiling campaign reports and make recommendations on optimisation
  • Optimising website copy to help increase SEO rating
  • Researching relevant platforms and audiences to understand how best to engage
  • Tracking and monitoring against KPIs
  • Liaising with the Production and Partnerships team to ensure digital campaigns support event targets
  • Writing and delivering direct email campaigns

 
The successful applicant will have the following qualities:

  • Digital marketing experience ideally from an events background
  • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Communication & organisation skills
  • Passion for sustainability (highly desirable)
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn
  • Proficient CRM skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Confident communications and influencing skills especially on the telephone
  • Self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team
