Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Actual Salary: £11.85 - £13/hr

Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas

Start Date: Immediate start

We are seeking a Secondary Learning support Assistant for a Liverpool based school. We are looking for candidates who have experience and/or an understanding of the role of an SEN assistant and the additional provisions that are associated with this role.

Job Specification

Assisting the SENDCo in supporting the students to achieve their Learning Objectives and to report on their development and progress.

Prioritise the needs of the individual student and adapt their learning and provisions to suit their intellectual abilities to maximise learning outcomes.

Contribute towards the planning of projects, execution and displaying of work.

Attend and contribute to school events; open days, presentation evenings, parents evenings, etc.

Support the teacher with effective classroom management, including behaviour management, completion of registers, resource management and general cleanliness and tidiness.

Making daily observations of students; attitude towards learning, lesson interaction, behaviour and general moral.

Person Specification

You have a passion to support a child with complex SEN needs.

Are looking to gain classroom experience

You have a calm and professional approach.

You would enjoy working with pupils 1:1 or in a small group.
