PART 1 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANTS


We are looking for bright and capable RIBA Part 1 graduates to join our team as an Architectural Assistant in summer 2024.

We are a friendly, design conscious practice with varied projects and clients, with a focus on public and private housing.

We are looking for people who want to participate fully as part of our team, contributing in our regular design reviews and our training, research and development programme.

We require candidates with:

  • RIBA validated Part 1, including those graduating this summer (RIBA validated courses https://www.architecture.com/education-cpd-and-careers/riba-validation);
  • strong design and drawing skills;
  • a flair for drawing and presentation;
  • demonstrable ability to consider the client and building users in developing design proposals;
  • good teamwork skills;
  • a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider Practice activities;
  • excellent communications skills, including written communication for dealing with clients, planners, contractors, and other consultants;
  • excellent time management, and ability to work to deadlines;
  • an understanding of construction principles and building safety requirements;
  • an interest in construction drawing, detailing and problem solving;
  • the ability to demonstrate good IT and BIM skills, ArchiCAD an advantage but not required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating high-level diligence and organisational skills. 

We are a design conscious practice with varied projects and clients. We offer strong support for professional and career development. We have a regular mentoring and appraisal programme and provide a good range of experience to help you become an architect. Project work ranges in scale from house extensions, through one off new builds, commercial projects and larger sites of over 100 homes. We aim to provide experience of working at all work stages.

Our offices are based in Worcester. We operate hybrid working for those who wish with a minimum three days a week in the office, following successful completion of the probation period.
