The Human Rights program includes working with Tanzanian human rights professionals focusing on children's, women's, and disabled people's rights and limited sexual rights. In addition, students can include research and thesis focus for the program.

Green Works Africa's Children's Agenda program focuses on Children's and Women's Rights. We also have a Rights team consisting of our team members, private Tanzanian people such as lawyers, other rights-oriented citizens and participating interns and volunteers.

Practical work includes advocacy, attending seminars, teaching, and gaining visibility. Rights issues are always sensitive, and teamwork and networking are essential.

A consortium of Tanzanian NGOs, including UNICEF, Save the Children, and others, developed and ran the Children's Agenda program chaired by the Ministry of Community Work Gender and Children.

We use our social media pages for advocacy work, and our Facebook pages have more than 50K followers.

Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. We also monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure your progress in your study program.

The internship outcome is to learn to use and get experience implementing your education in developing country conditions with limited capacitation. Also, to better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.

Interns work in teams of international students and volunteer professionals. They work 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

The program is ongoing, so we can adjust your start dates. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities. Your program term is adjustable. You can also conduct the thesis and related tasks.

The typical daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility.

The start and end dates are flexible and accommodate other travel arrangements in Tanzania. However, personal costs include international flights, student permits, accommodation, and meals.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tours and safaris.

We need your tentative arrival and departure dates to book you in and open your account.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

 Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. For 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week covers accommodation with breakfast and dinner and the student compound, and from week 14 onwards, it is EUR 125 weekly.

Airport transfer is EUR 60 in one way, which is a personal expense.

A Charity VISA for immigration of USD 50 is a personal expense. For less than 12 months, a multiple entry visa is USD 250.

We pay you a USD 100 monthly stipend, which is small but 2x Tanzania's national minimum wage. The minimum participation time for the grant is four weeks.

Flights are a personal expense.
