Teacher of Geography (part-time)

We are looking to recruit an excellent classroom practitioner as a part time Teacher of Geography to join our committed team of specialist teachers from September 2024.

Geography at the College is a highly popular and successful academic subject, following the AQA specification at GCSE and OCR at A-level. The post is suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher looking to develop his or her career. The Department offers supportive and experienced colleagues working within a well-resourced Departmental area with exceptional G.I.S. facilities.

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in both human and physical geography, with the ability and enthusiasm to teach students up to A Level. We are looking for committed classroom practitioners who are not only passionate about geography but also keen on continuously enhancing their teaching skills and knowledge in the subject. 

Applicants should be adept at employing the latest in educational best practices and pedagogy, aiming to inspire and cultivate a deep understanding and appreciation of geography among students, as well as being highly organised, empathetic and have the ability to work under pressure. Strong IT and communication skills are essential.. The position will be equivalent to 0.4 of a full-time post.
