Graphic Designer Placement with AESSEAL plc

As a Graphic Design Assistant at AESSEAL, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Brand Management and Design Management initiatives. You will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designers, Events team, and Brand and Advertising Manager to ensure that all projects align with the AESSEAL Brand Guidelines and receive high-quality assets. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in delivering a first-class design service to AESSEAL branches.

 

Your responsibilities will include interpreting written briefs to create engaging design concepts, graphics, and artwork for various media platforms such as reports, publications, the web, social media, videos, and presentations. You will also develop artwork to support internal and external engagement, as well as the selling of products to customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members to evaluate design concepts and contribute your knowledge and experience to enhance our service offerings.

 

To be successful in this role, you should ideally be studying graphic design, visual communications, or media design as part of your Degree/Course and have completed at least two years of study. We welcome applications from students studying for an HNC/HND or University Degree. Experience in using design packages such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop is required, with knowledge of other packages being advantageous. Your ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, your creativity, positive mindset, and flexibility in handling various projects will be key to excelling in this role. An understanding of technical processes, such as print asset creation, will also be beneficial.

 

Principal Accountabilities

a)   Support the Senior Graphic Designer and wider team in creating on brand materials for colleagues across the organisation.

b)   Deliver excellent creative artwork and assets, ensuring that all materials adhere to the brand guidelines.

c)   Bring data, text, photos, and graphics together to make high quality products that can be delivered in a range of different formats to enhance new or existing, internal or external communications.

d)   Interpret written briefs to create engaging design concepts, graphics and artwork for various medias including reports, publications, the web, social media, video, and presentations.

e)   Support the delivery of brand identity design projects, including the refresh of corporate assets through to development of branded templates.

f)    Collaborate with other team members to evaluate design concepts and share knowledge and experience in order to push boundaries of service offering.

g)   Develop artwork to support internal engagement, external engagement and selling of products to customers.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

 

Qualifications

  • Studying graphic design/ visual communications as part of a Degree/ Course.
  • Completed at least 2 years of study or a similar placement.

Skills & Knowledge

  • The ability to use your own initiative, creativity and positive mindset towards artwork creation.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Used a range of design packages including, but not limited to Adobe
  • Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Other packages would be advantageous.

Experience

  • Experience of working with an experienced Senior Graphic
  • Designer/ Experience of a Graphic Design course.
  • Experience of working with an organisation committed to sustainability and achieving Net Zero.
