Personal Statement Reviewer

About the position 🛠️

We’re looking for people to inspire the next generation of change-makers by:

• Reviewing students’ personal statements to perfection

Flexible - remote working, option to work in person with the entire team on Thursdays, & frequent socials 🙂

Rate 💷

• £11.44/hr (UK National Living Wage)

Start date ⏰

• Personal statement reviewing will start in June/July 2024

About the team 🤝

Andrew Mitson, Co-Founder & CEO

• Dropped out of school to start his first company at 16
• Self-studied to 4 A*s and an offer from Cambridge University
• At 21, co-founded a £10m startup + launched an incubator
• Spent 3 years travelling the world & once cooked dinner for Boris Johnson!

Arsen Shkrumelyak, Co-Founder & CTO

• Artificial Intelligence Expert
• Built 5x AI products before age 18, including AI-powered internet security tool for children
• Former chess player (peaked at a 2000+ Elo!)

Taran Glasson, COO

• Has three degrees: BA Geography from Cambridge, postgrad Law, and an MBA!
• Worked for 2.5 years in operations and business development for Amazon
• Runs operations at a mentoring charity, scaling a team of 22

What we’re looking for 🔎

In a nutshell…

You’re a current undergrad student at a Russell Group uni who’s passionate about helping others, serious about making a real change in the world, who learns super quickly, and wants to take on meaningful responsibility.

And you’ll need the following skills:

• Excellent written communication - e.g. editing personal statements
• Strong knowledge of the UCAS application system - e.g. knowing EXACTLY what unis are look for
• Research skills - e.g. finding out about different uni and subject requirements
