Box Office Assistant

Box Office Assistant - Apollo Victoria Theatre

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join one of London's most prestigious venues, The Apollo Victoria Theatre, currently home to the smash hit show Wicked. We are seeking proactive and conscientious individuals to join our industry award winning Box Office team.  The ideal candidate will be passionate and ambitious, with a true desire to work in a fast-paced sales environment.

As Box Office Assistant you'll deliver the highest standard of customer service in order to maximise sales, productivity and occupancy of the venue. You'll interact with all customers, agents, producers, company members and colleagues with a cheerful and helpful demeanour, treating all customers as VIPs, conveying enthusiasm for our show, tickets and packages. In a typical day you'll process customer and trade bookings with utmost accuracy using the in-house Ticketing System, Audience View.

Previous experience in using Audience View or experience of working in a Box Office is desirable but not essential. We're looking for someone proactive and with a positive attitude to delivering great customer service, who can convey enthusiasm for Wicked and the theatre to everyone visiting our venue. Opened as a Cinema in 1930 the now Apollo Victoria is a 2,328-capacity theatrical venue brimming with art deco design. Now heading into its 90th year the theatre has transformed into one of the leading West End venues hosting musicals such as The Sound of Music with Petula Clark, Camelot with Richard Harris and Fiddler on the Roof with Topol. In 1984 Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical extravaganza Starlight Express opened and considered the Apollo Victoria its home for many years. In 2006 Wicked, the smash-hit Broadway show opened and continues to go from strength to strength.
