Senior Care Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant as part of our Flanshaw Lodge Care Team.


What will be expected from me?

 

The purpose of this role is to support our Residential Care Unit and provide person-centred care and support for our residents.

 

What I might be doing?

 

  • You will within the Residential Care Unit and provide person-centred care and support for the residents within this unit.
  • You will communicate the needs of service users to management and maintain good relations between service users, staff, and visitors to the unit.
  • You will manage and safely administer service users’ medications.
  • You will enable the service users in the unit to maintain or regain their independence, individuality, and dignity.

Essential requirements:

 

  • NVQ 2 in Social Care/ NVQ 3 in Social Care or working towards.
  • An understanding of Safe manual handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience of working with older adults and an understanding of their differing complex care needs.
