Graduate Junior Interior Designer

Job Title: Junior Interior Designer

Start Date: ASAP

Location: The Studio at Lower Underhand, Slaidburn Road, Newton-in-Bowland BB7 3DL

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9am till 5:00pm

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays 

Type of position: Permanent after 6-month trial period

Salary: £22,500 Per Annum

Working from our rural based Studio in the heart of the Ribble Valley, the successful applicant will be an integral part of our design team. Providing design input and support on existing projects right through from concept to installation.

The role will include;

Liaising with clients and suppliers, developing relationships and actively promoting our design practice and services.

Team brainstorming and idea generation, researching new products, innovations and finishes. Visiting relevant trade shows and sourcing new trade suppliers.

Client location visits to include; consultations, design presentation, measuring up, installations, styling etc. May include the occasional overnight stay depending upon location.

Preparation of client design packs; moodboards, sample boxes, floorplans, elevations, electrical diagrams, technical drawings for bespoke products, sketches and 3d drawings.

Working to and managing client budgets in line with their expectations.

Management of project workflow to ensure deadlines are met.

Assisting in the management and development of the sample library to ensure materials and finish samples are all current and relevant.

Contributing to the administration of each project to include; placing orders, liaising with contractors, controlling returns and other associated paperwork.

Assisting the creation of content for our social media platforms; Facebook and Instagram primarily, as well as creating regular blog posts for our new website.

We have a fast paced, busy design studio where organisation is key to the success of each project. As a small yet dynamic team, each person is expected to get involved with all tasks associated in the day-to-day running of the business to ensure growth and the future success of the business.

Our clients are primarily based within Lancashire, Cumbria, Fylde and Yorkshire. For large project installations, trade fairs etc, we may require flexibility on hours with the occasional overnight stays.

The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, Vectorworks or other CAD packages as well as Microsoft Office.

Clean drivers licence and own car is essential.
