This Graduate Electrical Design Engineer will report to the Lead Design Engineer and will work within the Capital Programme directorate based in our London office. You will be a Fixed Term Contract (24 Months) employee.

What is the role?
The Job
Capital Programme is responsible to the delivery of large scale, high value projects for UK Power Networks. You will work across an Assets and Connections Portfolio and be involved with producing high quality electrical designs to an agreed scope and within UK Power Networks and CDM standards. You will work as part of a diverse team, providing design technical excellence.
Key responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer
Produce compliant Electrical Designs, ensuring the design eliminates any hazards which may give rise to risks; and reduce risks from any remaining hazards
Contribute to the production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement of engineering products
Prepare concept and developed design, from specifications and drawings within defined periods.
Provide an excellent service to the customer and work across teams to ensure a smooth process from initial enquiry through to final energisation and project closure.

Who is best suited to this role?
What you'll need:
You will have achieved or be on target to achieve a minimum of an Honours bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
