Oxford Summer Courses is seeking ambitious, organised, enthusiastic marketing interns to join our team this summer at each of our city locations - Cambridge or Oxford. These internships are part-time, temporary positions, during July 2024 and/or August 2024 (depending on location), 3 days per week (including some evenings).

About the role

Location: Oxford / Cambridge

Start: July 2024

Reports to: Senior Digital Marketing Executive

Working pattern: Wednesday - Friday, 8 hours per day flexible based on student schedules

Salary: £11.44 per hour

The Marketing Interns will be responsible for the collection, collation, and distribution of marketing material at their allocated locations. This internship is an excellent opportunity for keen marketers or students with an interest in videography, photography, and creative disciplines to explore different elements of marketing and social media management. 

You will be the main point of contact regarding marketing needs for your allocated colleges and will be encouraged to be creative with the content gathered. You will work in a team environment with marketing interns across other locations, with staff at each of our college sites, and with HQ staff.

You will oversee photography and videography projects throughout the summer, with a  focus on and facilitation of ‘student-led’ content.

Main Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Good quality content collection for social media materials, including photographs, videos and other relevant media. This may include student time spent in classes, day trips, graduations and other events as well as time spent around colleges and the city. (This may include some travel within the UK for day trips.)
  • Posting to social media in coordination with the head office team
  • Liaising with external photographers, videographers and on-course staff to ensure filming and photography events run smoothly
  • Support on-course staff and the head office marketing team with the collection of student testimonials (written and in video format)
  • Manage the collection of student-led photos and video content to be used on social media and other marketing platforms.
  • Writing and coordinating content collection for blog posts about student experiences of different aspects of the course.
  • Other content-related activities as required by the business.


 

About you

  • You’re a confident go getter who is comfortable jumping into events and activities with your camera
  • You have an interest in social media - particularly TikTok - and you stay up to date with the latest social media trends
  • You have a creative eye and a knack for capturing interesting and captivating content
  • You’re comfortable talking to lots of different people from students, to academic staff and head office staff

Essential:

  • Experience in marketing, photography, creative writing, videography or graphic design (includes internships or courses)
  • Experience in social media usage (Instagram,Tikok, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Good eye for detail and very strong written English
  • Personable and an excellent communicator, comfortable getting stuck into activities with students

Desirable

  • Summer camp experience
  • Video editing experience
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Blogging experience
