PGCE Trainee EFL Teacher - Free TEFL and Summer position

MLA (Move Language Ahead) is an industry leader in providing safe, educational, and cultural holidays to students from around the world. Each year thousands of students travel with MLA as part of our short-term English as a foreign language (EFL) programmes. Along with our proprietary EFL curriculum, we also provide our students with great excursions featuring some of the most popular historical and tourist destinations across the globe.

At MLA, we would like to start our summer school onboarding process by launching an initiative to provide PGCE students with TEFL training and hands-on experience in the EFL world as an additional part of your teaching programme. Our course will be delivered in February and culminate in the offer of a job with us for summer. We offer the opportunity of gaining guaranteed Young Learners (12 to 17 year-olds) TEFL training, starting in February, as well as remunerated teaching practice experience in one of our Easter or summer centres. Our In-house TEFL training programme includes:

15 x 60-minute TEFL Webinars which include practical input sessions about teaching methodology, vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking and conversational skills for foreign language learners. You will also get a handout to use in future lessons. Webinars will usually take place on Thursday 17:00

Access to all of our recorded webinars and lesson plans

Certificate of Completion (please note this is an In-House TEFL certificate from our company, which will only be granted upon completion of the full programme, including the paid teaching practice in our summer centre)

2 x 60-minute online Task-Based Learning lesson observations. These lessons will be observed live, trainees will be given a worksheet to complete during the observation that they can use to discuss teaching techniques later with a member of our academic team.
